Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zeng Xi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphy in Regular Script sold for HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,623.83) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeng Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zeng Xi erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Regular Script für HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.623,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeng Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95).
