A top price for Zeng Xi
This artwork by Zeng Xi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Zeng Xi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Zeng Xi erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Zeng Xi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
