Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Bronze Script by Zeng Xi was auctioned at Christies in New York in August this year. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,964.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeng Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Bronze Script von Zeng Xi kam im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.964,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeng Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95).
