Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zeng Xi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 259,600.00 (€ 27,794.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zeng Xi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,861.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zeng Xi erzielte im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script für HKD 259.600,00 (€ 27.794,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zeng Xi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.861,95).
