When the work Landscape by Zeng Mi was auctioned at POLY in Poly Auction App in May last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - price of HKD 500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 38 times as high at HKD 19,200.00 (€ 2,279.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeng Mi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 47,513.46).
Kunstwerk zum 38-fachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Zeng Mi im Mai letzten Jahres bei POLY in Poly Auction App versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 500,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 19.200,00 (€ 2.279,45) mehr als 38-mal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeng Mi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 47.513,46).
