Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Figure by Zeng Mi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 55,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 29,500.00 (€ 3,471.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeng Mi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 47,513.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure von Zeng Mi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 29.500,00 (€ 3.471,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeng Mi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 47.513,46).
