Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Coffee shop in El Hossen Square by Zeinab Abd El Hamid for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,449.91). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zeinab Abd El Hamid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quartier Populaire in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 58,750.00 (€ 47,686.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Coffee shop in El Hossen Square von Zeinab Abd El Hamid für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.449,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zeinab Abd El Hamid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quartier Populaire im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 58.750,00 (€ 47.686,69).
