Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Five Works From The Professions Series by Yuri Zhuravsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,085.13). Other works by Yuri Zhuravsky have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2013 by the work Victory Day; Liteyny Perulok; Muchnoi Pereulok; Untitled at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,668.72).
