Despite a disappointment, a good price for Yuri Zhuravsky
When the work Nevsky Prospekt; Kuznechny Pereulok; Liteyny Prospekt; Cemetery by Yuri Zhuravsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,668.72). Despite this disappointing result, Nevsky Prospekt; Kuznechny Pereulok; Liteyny Prospekt; Cemetery is the most expensive artwork by Yuri Zhuravsky that we have observed at auction so far.
