Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring by Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,955.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the River Tverets, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,277.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring von Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.955,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the River Tverets beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.277,59) versteigert wurde.
