Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer’s Day by Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,111.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuri Vladimirovich Matushevsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the River Tverets, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,277.59).
