Description
Two fan paintings
One fan of amaranthus flowers, with colophon by Fang Hengxian (17th century, date unknown), seal and signature of Yun Shouping, ink and colour on paper, folding fan leaf, framed and glazed, 55cm (21 5/8in) wide; the other fan depicting chrysanthemums, ink and colour on paper, folding fan leaf, inscription, seals and signature of Yun Shouping, framed and glazed, 58cm (22 7/8in) wide. The work Two fan paintings by Yun Shouping was worth GBP 112,750.00 (€ 132,379.11) to a buyer in November 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese ArtIncluding Imperial and Court Textiles Curated by Linda Wrigglesworth at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yun Shouping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fragrance of a Nation in Clearing Spring in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 59,650,000.00 (€ 6,632,475.41).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese ArtIncluding Imperial and Court Textiles Curated by Linda Wrigglesworth bei Bonhams in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yun Shouping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fragrance of a Nation in Clearing Spring im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 59.650.000,00 (€ 6.632.475,41).
