A top price for Yun Shouping
When the work The Fragrance of a Nation in Clearing Spring by Yun Shouping was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 5,000,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 11 times as high at HKD 59,650,000.00 (€ 6,632,475.41). This high result makes The Fragrance of a Nation in Clearing Spring the most expensive artwork by Yun Shouping that we have observed at auctions so far.
