A top price for Yuan Yunfu - as previously expected
The work Jiangnan Waterscape (Diptych) by Yuan Yunfu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 397,563.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Jiangnan Waterscape (Diptych) is the most expensive artwork by Yuan Yunfu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Jiangnan Waterscape (Diptych) von Yuan Yunfu kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 3.440.000,00 (€ 397.563,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Jiangnan Waterscape (Diptych) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yuan Yunfu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
