The work Appreciating Waterfall In Mount Huang by Yuan Songnian was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 200,000 (€ 22,766), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuan Songnian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in April 2010 for HKD 548,000 (€ 53,061).

Die Arbeit Appreciating Waterfall In Mount Huang von Yuan Songnian wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 200.000 (€ 22.766) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuan Songnian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im April 2010 für HKD 548.000 (€ 53.061) versteigert wurde.
