This artwork by Yu Sheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Ink Pine Tree, Chrysanthemum, Orchid And Rock sold for HKD 413,000.00 (€ 48,601.53) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yu Sheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Birds After Huang Jucai (933-?) in October 2004 with an auction result of HKD 2,751,750.00 (€ 277,204.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Sheng erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Ink Pine Tree, Chrysanthemum, Orchid And Rock für HKD 413.000,00 (€ 48.601,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Sheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Birds After Huang Jucai (933-?) im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.751.750,00 (€ 277.204,38).
