Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II, which included the work Loquats by Yu Li. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 21,600.00 (€ 2,169.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yu Li have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ink Spirit No. 5 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,542.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Loquats von Yu Li zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 21.600,00 (€ 2.169,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Li auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ink Spirit No. 5 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.542,66).
