A top price for Yu Li - as previously expected
The work Ink Spirit No. 5 by Yu Li was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,542.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ink Spirit No. 5 is the most expensive artwork by Yu Li that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Ink Spirit No. 5 von Yu Li wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.542,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ink Spirit No. 5 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yu Li, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
