Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mandarin Ducks in Lotus Pond by Yu Jigao was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,056.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Jigao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Longevity in October last year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mandarin Ducks in Lotus Pond von Yu Jigao wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.056,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Jigao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Longevity im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
