This artwork by Yu Jigao achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Rabbit And Rose sold for HKD 9,600.00 (€ 9,803.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yu Jigao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Longevity in October last year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Jigao erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Rabbit And Rose für HKD 9.600,00 (€ 9.803,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Jigao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Longevity im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
