In December this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Shoulao by Yu Ji. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,476.77), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Ji achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Planting Bamboo in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 8,650,000.00 (€ 912,387.57).
