Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yrjö Edelmann could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art + Design auction, the work "Artificial night landscape" changed hands for SEK 38,000.00 (€ 3,582.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yrjö Edelmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Packed Night Heaven, 2001 in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,075.00 (€ 25,665.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yrjö Edelmann konnte im Mai 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art + Design wechselte die Arbeit "Artificial night landscape" für SEK 38.000,00 (€ 3.582,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yrjö Edelmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Packed Night Heaven, 2001 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.075,00 (€ 25.665,64).
