In October 2009 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Autumn'S Fragrance by Yoon Byung-Rock. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 193,750.00 (€ 16,939.17), 29% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yoon Byung-Rock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Fragrance, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 487,500.00 (€ 40,134.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn'S Fragrance von Yoon Byung-Rock zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 193.750,00 (€ 16.939,17) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yoon Byung-Rock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Fragrance beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 487.500,00 (€ 40.134,16) versteigert wurde.
