Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autumn'S Fragrance by Yoon Byung-Rock was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 15,978.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yoon Byung-Rock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Fragrance, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 487,500.00 (€ 40,134.16).

Die Arbeit Autumn'S Fragrance von Yoon Byung-Rock wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 15.978,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yoon Byung-Rock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Fragrance beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 487.500,00 (€ 40.134,16) versteigert wurde.
