In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Autumn's Fragrance (Yellow Peach) by Yoon Byung-Rock. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 106,250.00 (€ 10,535.17), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yoon Byung-Rock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Fragrance, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 487,500.00 (€ 40,134.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn's Fragrance (Yellow Peach) von Yoon Byung-Rock zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 10.535,17) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yoon Byung-Rock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Fragrance beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 487.500,00 (€ 40.134,16) versteigert wurde.
