In October 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II), which included the work Interior Series, Electric Fan by Yin Qi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 547,500.00 (€ 48,816.35), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yin Qi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot China Gallery sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 55,010.44).

Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior Series, Electric Fan von Yin Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 547.500,00 (€ 48.816,35) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yin Qi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit China Gallery im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 55.010,44).
