Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hero by Yin Kun was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,860.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yin Kun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hero Series No. 1 in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 631,500.00 (€ 56,305.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hero von Yin Kun wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.860,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yin Kun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hero Series No. 1 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 631.500,00 (€ 56.305,99).
