Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yin Kun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Chinese Babies No.11 sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,666.08) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yin Kun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hero Series No. 1, which sold at auction in October 2007 for HKD 631,500.00 (€ 56,305.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yin Kun erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Chinese Babies No.11 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.666,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yin Kun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hero Series No. 1 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für HKD 631.500,00 (€ 56.305,99) versteigert wurde.
