Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu by Yi Da'An was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,779.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yi Da'An achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 650,000.00 (€ 75,937.33).
