He Man’an, born in Panyu, Guangdong Province, was an important collector of Chinese paintings and calligraphy in the region of Lingnan. The name of his studio was Lingbi Shanfang and he was especially fond of collecting works by artists in the Lingnan region.

In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Calligraphy in Seal Script by Yi Da'An. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,550.77), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yi Da'An achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 650,000.00 (€ 75,937.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script von Yi Da'An zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.550,77) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yi Da'An erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 650.000,00 (€ 75.937,33).
