Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Christies held the auction Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Zhang Xinjia, which included the work Two Nepalese Girls by Ye Qianyu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,477.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ye Qianyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Banquet at Highland in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 472,000.00 (€ 57,516.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Zhang Xinjia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Nepalese Girls von Ye Qianyu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.477,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ye Qianyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Banquet at Highland im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 472.000,00 (€ 57.516,35).
