This artwork by Ye Qianyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Dancing Lady sold for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,973.73) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ye Qianyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Banquet at Highland in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 472,000.00 (€ 57,516.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ye Qianyu erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Dancing Lady für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.973,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ye Qianyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Banquet at Highland im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 472.000,00 (€ 57.516,35).
