Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work A Girl by Ye Qianyu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 141,600.00 (€ 14,941.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ye Qianyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Banquet at Highland, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 472,000.00 (€ 57,516.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Girl von Ye Qianyu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 14.941,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ye Qianyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Banquet at Highland beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 472.000,00 (€ 57.516,35) versteigert wurde.
