Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bamboo And Rock by Ye Gongchao was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 4,720.00 (€ 545.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ye Gongchao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,277.23).

Die Arbeit Bamboo And Rock von Ye Gongchao kam im Mai 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 4.720,00 (€ 545,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ye Gongchao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.277,23).
