It achieved a price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,338.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).

Die Arbeit Selected images and ephemera of Kusama 'happenings', New York, 1967-68 von Yayoi Kusama kam im April 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.338,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
