Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yasam Sasmazer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2011. In the Contemporary Art/ Turkish auction, the work Treacherous Wolf sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,484.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yasam Sasmazer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Captured by Light, which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,795.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yasam Sasmazer erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art/ Turkish wurde die Arbeit Treacherous Wolf für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.484,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yasam Sasmazer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Captured by Light beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.795,75) versteigert wurde.
