Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yao Yuanzhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Various Subjects After Old Masters sold for HKD 81,250 (€ 9,590) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yao Yuanzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yao Yuanzhi erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Various Subjects After Old Masters für HKD 81.250 (€ 9.590) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000. Für andere Arbeiten von Yao Yuanzhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553) versteigert wurde.
