Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Calligraphy in Seal Script by Yao Yuanzhi was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in December last year. The price achieved of AUD 2,460 (€ 2,174) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as AUD 2,000 - 3,000. Admittedly, works by Yao Yuanzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script von Yao Yuanzhi kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.460 (€ 2.174) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000 – 3.000 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yao Yuanzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553).
