The work Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script by Yao Yuanzhi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000 (€ 3,386), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000 - 4,000. Admittedly, works by Yao Yuanzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script von Yao Yuanzhi kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000 (€ 3.386) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000 – 4.000. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yao Yuanzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553).
