Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script by Yao Yuanzhi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. The price achieved of USD 5,000 (€ 4,655) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 4,000 - 6,000. Admittedly, works by Yao Yuanzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script von Yao Yuanzhi wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000 (€ 4.655) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000 – 6.000 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yao Yuanzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553).
