A set of four hanging scrolls, ink on paper, inscribed and dated to the first year of the Guangxu period, and signed Haosou Yang Yisun, with six artist's seals reading Lijie bu mo, ziyu, and Jiaxiang zhi shi.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Seal Script, 1875 by Yang Yisun was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,194.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Yisun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verses in Seal Script Calligraphy in December this year with an auction result of HKD 907,200.00 (€ 104,973.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script, 1875 von Yang Yisun wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.194,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Yisun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verses in Seal Script Calligraphy im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 907.200,00 (€ 104.973,42).
