This artwork by Yang Mingyi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. In the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings auction, the work Lotus Pond and Houses sold for HKD 192,000.00 (€ 18,619.41) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Mingyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Village By The River, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 575,000.00 (€ 54,564.51).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Mingyi erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Lotus Pond and Houses für HKD 192.000,00 (€ 18.619,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Mingyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Village By The River beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 575.000,00 (€ 54.564,51) versteigert wurde.
