Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Butterflies by Yan Shengsun. The price achieved of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,530.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yan Shengsun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Phoenix in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 156,000.00 (€ 16,245.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Butterflies von Yan Shengsun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.530,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yan Shengsun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Phoenix im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 156.000,00 (€ 16.245,53).
