Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter scene from The Four Seasons, c.1900, signed Shoun, very good impression and colour, gauffrage used to accentuate the texture of clothes, very slight creasing near edges by Yamamoto Shoun was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,025.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamamoto Shoun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty-four woodblock prints depicting women in May 2021 with an auction result of GBP 9,450.00 (€ 10,995.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter scene from The Four Seasons, c.1900, signed Shoun, very good impression and colour, gauffrage used to accentuate the texture of clothes, very slight creasing near edges von Yamamoto Shoun kam im Mai 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
