This artwork by Xue Song achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April last year. In the No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals auction, the work Mao Zedong sold for HKD 119,700.00 (€ 14,472.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xue Song achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rivers and Mountains After Snow—A Tribute to Wang Wei in September this year with an auction result of CNY 1,260,000.00 (€ 163,095.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xue Song erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals wurde die Arbeit Mao Zedong für HKD 119.700,00 (€ 14.472,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xue Song erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rivers and Mountains After Snow—A Tribute to Wang Wei im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.260.000,00 (€ 163.095,24).
