This artwork by Xue Liang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Mountainous Landscape sold for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 53,198.31) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xue Liang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moonset And The Raven’S Cry, which sold at auction in September 2013 for CNY 1,652,000.00 (€ 199,436.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Xue Liang erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Mountainous Landscape für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 53.198,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xue Liang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moonset And The Raven’S Cry beobachtet, die im September 2013 für CNY 1.652.000,00 (€ 199.436,13) versteigert wurde.
