Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Su Dongbo by Xu Zonghao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,913.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Zonghao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,448.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Su Dongbo von Xu Zonghao wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.913,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Zonghao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.448,04) versteigert wurde.
