The work Calligraphy In Kaishu by Xu Zonghao was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The auction ended at the price of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 3,693.98), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Zonghao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,448.04).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu von Xu Zonghao kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 3.693,98) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Zonghao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.448,04).
