Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Galileo's Bird by Xu Zhen was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in May 2019. The price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,918.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Zhen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Under Heaven-2207FI1312, which sold at auction in April 2014 for CNY 810,000.00 (€ 93,439.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Galileo's Bird von Xu Zhen kam im Mai 2019 bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.918,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Zhen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Under Heaven-2207FI1312 beobachtet, die im April 2014 für CNY 810.000,00 (€ 93.439,08) versteigert wurde.
