The work Metal Language – It'S Not Easy Being Ahead Of Your Time; Innovation! Change!; I Feel More Creative Already (Set Of Three Pieces)(Executed In 2018) by Xu Zhen was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in August 2020. The price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,020.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Zhen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Under Heaven-2207FI1312 in April 2014 with an auction result of CNY 810,000.00 (€ 93,439.08).
